Maintaining our Fairtrade Town status means:
- Alcester Town Council needs to continue to use and promote the use of Fairtrade goods within our community, for example by making use of Fairtrade refreshments at all their meetings, and supporting the campaign however they can.
- We want to keep supporting local organisations, businesses, schools and faith groups to use and promote Fairtrade products as widely as possible, and to include, where appropriate in curricular and worship activities.
- Continue to attract media coverage and organise events to continue to build awareness.
- Continue to encourage local retailers, restaurants and cafes to offer as wide a range of Fairtrade products as possible, and to support them with clear signage where products are available.
- Continue to develop our local steering group, representing different sectors of the community to ensure continued commitment to Fairtrade Town status - could you be involved?
